Opena Blog

It has come to our attention that imitation Opena® Case for iPhone 4/4S products are entering the market. These products are unauthorised copies of the genuine Opena® Case and of extremely low quality. The people and companies pushing these imitations are using our product photography and brand to market them so it can be hard to know what you are buying until it’s too late.
We are sending this memo around to inform you on how to spot a fake product. The build quality and materials used in these fake copies are of very low quality and are prone to the bottle opener blade falling out of the case and the cases breaking which could potentially cause harm to the user and damage to their iPhone.

How to Spot a Fake Opena® Case

1) The Genuine Opena® is currently available in Black and White ONLY.
2) The Opena® case branding and website URL (www.openacase.com) are moulded on the back of the genuine product.
3) The genuine product has a black flash ring over moulded into the case around the camera/flash area on the rear of the phone. This stops photos from being washed out by the flash reflecting off the coloured plastic. This is easy to see on our white case.
4) The volume and mute buttons are fully enclosed on the genuine product.
5) The bottle opener blade easily falls out from the non genuine case.
